It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend, Gill Cory, Founder and Treasurer of our charity, Fighting to be Heard.
Gill’s tireless dedication to our cause, even while battling Secondary Breast Cancer herself, exemplified her selflessness and compassion. Despite her own struggles, she chose to use her precious time to help others going through similar challenges.
Gill’s role as Treasurer perfectly aligned with her no-nonsense, straight-talking nature and unwavering determination. She brought a touch of glamour to our charity with her love for designer clothing, inspiring her favourite boutique to host a successful fundraiser in her honor this year. Fondly nicknamed “Joan Collins,” Gill’s elegance and charm left a lasting impression on us all.
As a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and friend to many, Gill’s influence reached countless lives. Her unyielding determination and resilience served as a beacon of inspiration.
Even amidst the challenges of chemotherapy treatments, Gill’s commitment to our cause remained steadfast. She courageously conducted meetings while on treatment, displaying her unwavering dedication to our charity’s mission. Her strength and resilience in the face of adversity are a testament to her character.
